it was good but not many facts

Bought this book for my Vietnam Vet husband who served in the same years as you. Your descriptions resonated deeply with him. He enjoyed this book.

I really enjoyed the book my late husband was a Vietnam Vet and he told me alot of stuff that happened just like in the book.

A very well written account. I will encourage my husband to read it, as he served as a Marine in Vietnam stationed at Chu Lai.

Mr. Robinson's account of his service to our country is an upbeat story during a horrific time for our young soldiers. His faith saw him through this time of servitude in a hostile land. Readers get a watered down version of his time in Vietnam, but it's enough to make one want to thank every veteran personally. His faith encourages the reader to realize that God's promises are true and He will see us through our trials.

The last photo says it all. That's why we read others' stories; most are penned by by grunts, pilots or special ops guys, but for every one there are a dozen who supported them, and their stories are also important. Maybe someday......

I've read numerous stores from Vietnam Veterans, of all ranks and all military services. Many are similar, but none are quite the same. I'm also grateful that so many veterans are able to finally share their diverse experiences and duties. The infantry MOS definitely had the highest KIA and WIA numbers, but all veteran stories are insightful and valuable. Mr. Robinson's story, while abbreviated compared to some, is well written and interesting. However, wether front line or rear echelon, the most shameful part of the Vietnam experience (other than the inept execution of the war by our politicians, and the butt kissing brass), which is common in most veteran stories, is the disrespect and lack of support from many American citizens. To ALL Vietnam Veterans, THANK YOU!

Not often does a Vietnam book one out that has God's name NOT taken in the negative. The follow up of the return was most appreciated.

Interesting read.Went thru the many ordeals so many of us did...he paid attention to detail and included many interesting facts.

I expected more about battles etc. what I read was exactly what he wrote. Memories that evidently were the most important to the author.

Not bad. Not a novel by any means, more of a diary.

Bought as a Christmas gift and the recipient was quite happy with it. So if you like to read war memoirs you'll probably like this one, especially if you're interested in the Vietnam era.

I highly recommend this book to anyone. If you lived during the Vietnam era, you need to read this very personal memoir by one of the valiant young people who served his country. If you were not living during that time, you really need to read this book. This book should be required reading for high school students. Let them be made aware of what 18 year olds were doing before video games and cell phones.I like the writer's style--straightforward and honest. Well done, Mr. Robinson. Thank you for your service!

I thought this was NOTHING! I thought it was a waste of time of the author to write the book. It just didn't say anything to me.The intend may have been good but, the result didn't deliver.I am sorry but, this is the way I feel about the book.Thanks!

This book is certainly money well spent. The author has a way of making one feel as thought they went through all of theseexperiences with the author being in Vietnam. Loved the down-home, matter of fact way of writing this book. Loved everyminute while reading this book. I highly, highly recommend buying this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.I've known Mr. Warren practically all my life and he revealed things in this book I would have never known.It's obvious he was spared for the work he had to do later in his life, I know because like many others he helped me out directly and indirectly many times in his banking career!Mr. Warren I PERSONALLY want to thank you for your service to us!I can remember as a young boy coming in and watching our black & white TV before the screen displayed a dark circle in the middle, the nightly news gave out the casualties of this war! I often thought what a generic term the news put on the suffering of these guys that had faught and suffered for just a political war!I thought of Nixon and the history that has been written about him, but I'VE stood up many times and said, "he might not have been a perfect POTUS but he brought our guys home and ended a needless WAR where so many of out guys died!At my age I wasn't drafted but I still had to sign up for selective service.Again, Thank you Mr. Warren!

I enjoyed reading Remembering Vietnam: A Veteran's Story by: Warren Robinson. He did an excellent job of describing what it must have been like for the soldiers each day. I read parts of the book to my husband whom also went to Vietnam right after Mr. Robinson and he could relate to everything. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to get an idea of what it must have been like for out soldiers. I want to personally thank Mr. Robinson for serving our country and fighting for our freedom.

Remembering Vietnam was beautifully written. I am honored to know the author. I felt like I was right there with him. I cried and laughed as I read the pages and could not put it down. He is a remarkable man and has helped so many people in his lifetime including me. You won't be sorry for purchasing this book.

Remembering Vietnam: A Veteran's Story was beautifully written by Mr. Warren Robinson (who I am blessed and honored to know). This book helped me understand what Vietnam must have been like for my Daddy, who never talks about his time serving as a Marine in Vietnam. Once I started reading I could not put it down. I laughed, I cried, at times I felt as though I was right there with him, and wondered if my Daddy might be on one of the choppers flying in to retrieve the wounded. The Vietnam War was not a popular time in our Country's history and the soldiers that made it back were not treated well by the very people that they were willing to give their lives for, but they fought, they sacrificed, they did so with honor. Mr. Robinson does a beautiful job of placing you the soldiers boots, in their journey, allowing you to see what it was like for so many thousands of young men. Thank you Mr. Warren for your story, your journey, but most of all your service and sacrifice for our Country.

Excellent book!! Great read especially for the youth who don't know anything about the Vietnam War.
